​Burning Cold for violin and electronics will be featured for performance at the GROOVE concert series in Austin Texas. 


The final concert of the Elements concert season will be Groove-music centered around a driving beat. Pianist Jim James will be joined by Adam Bedell, percussion and Turner Partain, violin in works by John Adams, Lou Harrison, Hannah Lash, and Kay He.

​3/11/2019 TURN UP Tucson  2019 
TURN UP Multimedia Festival, a festival promote Equality, Culture-Connecting, and Interdisciplinary Collaboration, will be held on March 11 - 13, 2019 at the the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music in Tucson. The festival includes multiple lectures, presentations, and master classes from leading artists from different fields, different circumstances, and different geographic areas, and culminates with a multimedia concert that includes the works of select artists.  

Solitary Tango for saxophone and electronics , commissioned by Joshua Thomas  will be premiered on the concert.

​2/20/2019 Commission Premiere
Foam & Sun was commissioned by Duo Entre-Nous (Jackie Glazier and Don-Paul Kahl). The piece will be featured at the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music Faculty Artist Series Recital. 

Duo Entre-Nous is a clarinet and saxophone ensemble dedicated to the evolution and continued progression of new music. Formed in 2014 by Jackie Glazier and Don-Paul Kahl, the duo performs and commissions new repertoire for clarinet and saxophone. Thus far the duo has commissioned composers from America, Australia, China, France, and Argentina, garnering new pieces in a variety of different styles. The duo supports the commissioning of composers from underrepresented groups, seeking to aid the creation and promotion of their works.

5/12/2018  Graduated from University of Texas at Austin
​

Kay HE graduated from University of Texas at Austin with a doctorate degree in music composition in May 2018. ​Her dissertation Seeing the Sound, Hearing the Dream is a forty-five-minute multimedia suite consisting of six pieces written for various instruments and electronics, which consist of electronic sounds and video. The instrumentation includes solo cello, solo flute, solo piano, solo marimba, and flute and trombone duet. This suite is a compilation of multimedia works, all of which feature the connection and interaction between live instruments, electronic music, and visual art.
